Haifa is becoming the first city in Israel to establish a low-emissions zone – an important part of the national plan to reduce air pollution from all sources, including vehicles.Exposure to air pollution in Israel causes 2,220 premature deaths every year, half of them from transportation. We are happy the project focuses on Black Carbon using Aethalometer AE33 and its local/regional impacts, and that Haifa has also decided to monitor air pollution through this unregulated parameter.
